Join the Seton Hall community in honor of Hispanic Heritage
Month on Wednesday, October 9, for a private film screening and Q&A with
filmmaker Marcella Ochoa who directed, produced, and starred in the short film
“My Name is Maria de Jesus.” The film explores 1950’s Texas where Mexican
American children were forced to abandon their Spanish language and culture.
Thirty years later, one mother realizes the impact Americanization has on her
child who is struggling to connect with her heritage. Based on a true story. 10 KDP Honor Stole Points will be awarded for full attendance.
